I can't access any web sites

1. Are you actually connected to the internet? Did your computer dial out and make a connection?

2. Try restarting your computer.

- Click on Start
- Click on Shutdown
- Choose 'restart the computer?'
- Click 'yes' or 'OK'

3. Make sure TCP/IP is installed

- Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Network.
- Is TCP/IP listed?
- If not, Click Add
- Select Protocol and click Add
- In the Manufacturers box select Microsoft
- Select TCP/IP and then click OK

How do I clear the location bar?

-Click on Edit
-Then Click on Preferences
-In the bottom right hand side of the box is a button that says 'Clear Location Bar', click on it.
-It will ask you if you are sure hit 'yes' or 'ok'
-Click OK

How do I clear my history?

-Click on Edit
-Then Click on Preferences
-In the lower right hand side of the box is a button that says 'Clear History', click on it.
-It will ask you if you are sure hit 'yes' or 'ok'
-Click OK

Unable to Locate Server

1. Try accessing other web sites. If you can get to them then the problem is only with the web site that gives you the 'unable to locate server message' and will have to be dealt with by someone on that end. If you are unable to access any other web sites then the problem is either with your PC or your connection. 

2. Can get to the site in Internet Explorer? If yes, the problem is with Netscape. You need to close it and restart it. If no, there is either a problem with your PC, your connection, or with the web site you are trying to access.

I keep getting illegal operation messages

1. Try uninstalling Netscape and then try reinstalling it.

2. Consider switching to Internet Explorer
